I woke up, brushed my teeth, took a shower, got dressed and walked into the kitchen to find G. listening to Phineas and Ferb songs and wearing a box.
stuff we do
Went out with the kids for a kayak ride and swim after dinner on the lake. My last night in Wisconsin, the kids are staying for the rest of the week to attend a summer camp located on the other side of the lake (we can actually see it from our porch!). So far, they have loved their first day at camp. G. signed up for archery, rock climbing and boating. T. is doing a mini camp where they go swimming and sing songs.
Our neighbor gave us two huge zucchinis from his garden. For some reason G. decided to make the large zucchini his "baby" and then T. copied him. G. named his zucchini Stuart and later changed it to "Squashy". T. named his zucchini "Joe". They insisted on carrying the "babies" with them for the rest of the day, they took a bath with their "babies", dressed them in socks, snuggled with them as they listened to bedtime stories and finally fell asleep with them. Right before he fell asleep, G. asked if his baby would rot. I had to tell him the truth, that his baby would rot because it's a zucchini after all.
T. saw some kids last weekend with a lemonade stand and decided that he wanted to make one for himself. He came up with the name "Sweet Stand" and sold lemonade, brownies and cookies with his friends. He made a sign and then set up shop. They yelled really loud at every car that drove by and made $12. Each item was $0.25. Afterwards, he paid each of his helpers which left him with $3.50. In the end he made it free for kids because "kids don't always have money".
